GS1 Egypt commenced the event with a warm welcome for our esteemed guests and partners, featuring some of the most influential figures across various sectors in Egypt.

Over the past 25 years, GS1 Egypt and its partners have crafted an incredible success story. This celebration is a testament to our shared achievements and future potential.

We were honored to host representatives from over 15 institutions and government entities, along with leading companies that implement GS1 global standards to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experiences.

During the event, GS1 Egypt announced a strategic partnership with Jumia Egypt, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Africa.

This relationship marks one of the latest collaborations at GS1. The partnership aims to simplify the product listing process on Jumia, improve search results, and streamline order fulfillment.

These improvements will contribute to an enhanced overall customer experience.

Inspired by Al Arabi Group’s achievements

Recognized as a key strategic partner of GS1 Egypt, Al Arabi Group, a prominent Egyptian business conglomerate, was honored at the GS1 Champions event. Their unwavering commitment to global standards for over two decades has been instrumental in this partnership.

GS1 Egypt honors the UPA

We were honored to have the Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) present, highlighting the importance of implementing GS1 standards to enhance transparency and safeguard public-sector medical purchase operations in Egypt.

The GS1 Egypt-UPA initiative aims to improve patient safety by ensuring patients have access to necessary medications.

Additionally, GS1 Egypt has contributed to providing over 4,000,000 products with global GS1 barcodes, significantly facilitating the digital transformation of the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt.

GS1 Egypt honors the ETA

We were honored to have the Egyptian Tax Authority present at our recognition events.

Their participation highlighted the importance of applying GS1 standards to reduce tax evasion.

We also celebrated our successful collaboration in offering barcodes to over 13 million products and services as part of the electronic invoicing system.

The ETA expressed their full support for implementing these standards across all sectors.

Adidas celebrated at the GS1 Champions Event

At the GS1 Champions event, we celebrated Adidas’ 100th anniversary. We recognized the company for its hard work in using GS1 global standards for its products.

Currently, more than 1 million Adidas products carry GS1 Egypt barcodes and use our standards.
